There are still some missing pieces that I need a bit more detail on. I think based off the photo below, it shows there the chlorine is being injected and one place where samples could be taken. That is a threaded tap and not the most ideal for taking samples since the threads can hold onto debris. Do you know if that is before or after the chlorine is injected? Also is there another sample tap located on the other side of the chlorine injection? It is very important to have a sample tap on either side of the chlorine injection since you will most likely need to take raw water samples to confirm that the well does not need to be required to disinfect. Then one after to grab the point of entry chlorine residual. 3/5/25, 12:57 PM State of Utah Mail - Fwd: Escape RV Resort- Knotty Pine (UTAH22022) CAEO https://mail.google.com/mail/b/AEoRXRTEo9BVkyH_orvWHDvCX0am7TXJ52k6dGwWYeZV961SyVQ_/u/0/?ik=2401283fbe&view=pt&search=all&per…1/9 I am free from 10 am to noon then 1 pm to 2 pm if you want to call and discuss the other two items. It very well could all be complete, we are just missing the documentation for it. I appreciate you working with us! As a quick recap this is what we still need to resolve the deficiencies and write an after the fact operating permit for the chlorinator: Well Casing - please send a photo that shows the tape measure at the bottom on the well casing to the top to confirm it is about 31-inches off the ground. I've striked out the information I've received and what is left to complete for an after the fact approval as well as added some additional comments in purple: Do you have an NSF 60 certification for the chlorine? If it is, it should be printed on the chemical container. However, if it does not have NSF 60 certification you will need to purchase liquid chlorine that does have that certification. T-chlor is the most common chlorine I see in Utah that has that certification. Photo documenting T-chlor was purchased and in use Please send a couple of photos zoomed out from the chlorine pump. Ideally showing that the chlorine is contained within a building with four walls and a door. A photo showing the chlorine tote has secondary containment. This can be as simple as the tote sitting in a plastic bin.Photo of T-chlor container in secondary containment A photo of the combined chemical eyewash/shower station. 3/5/25, 12:57 PM State of Utah Mail - Fwd: Escape RV Resort- Knotty Pine (UTAH22022) CAEO https://mail.google.com/mail/b/AEoRXRTEo9BVkyH_orvWHDvCX0am7TXJ52k6dGwWYeZV961SyVQ_/u/0/?ik=2401283fbe&view=pt&search=all&per…4/9 Your receipt shows an order for a 55-gallon drum. According to our rules if you have 55 gallons or more of chlorine at 5% strength or greater you need the eyewash shower combo Small container purchased combo station not required. If you purchase and use 12.5% chlorine in smaller than 55-gallon containers then you only need to have an eyewash. We accept eyewash squeeze bottles to fulfill this requirement instead of a plumbed in installation. Need photo proof of this Please send a photo of where the chlorine is being injected. Also confirm that there is a sample tap before and after the point of injection to collect water samples. This photo was a bit blurry and only showed one sample tap In addition to the photos/locations that were requested above: How are you tracking how much chlorine is being used? This will be needed for chlorine reporting requirements. Approximately when was this chlorinator installed and why? Further for the well casing, can you please send a photo that shows the tap measure at the bottom on the well casing to the top to confirm it is about 31-inches off the ground. It does look significantly taller than before. Good luck on your next position Scott! Dani Zebelean, P.E. I am also writing to let you know that I will no longer be with this company as of February 1, 2025, so I am including my replacement, Cody Fishel, on this thread. In December 2024, I sent multiple photos (on our previous thread) that show our attempts at becoming compliant with the CAEO. We have performed the following: 1. Received an exception related to the storage capacity 2. Sent photos of the chlorinator onsite in hopes to become compliant with 3. obtained and installed the proper chemical treatment 4. extended the well head to proper height. Can you please advise on next steps and/or our current compliance status? -- Scott McGeeVice President Operations 832.845.4164Roamamerica.com 3/5/25, 12:57 PM State of Utah Mail - Fwd: Escape RV Resort- Knotty Pine (UTAH22022) CAEO https://mail.google.com/mail/b/AEoRXRTEo9BVkyH_orvWHDvCX0am7TXJ52k6dGwWYeZV961SyVQ_/u/0/?ik=2401283fbe&view=pt&search=all&per…5/9 -- Cody FishelRegional Manager 801.690.6109Roamamerica.com -- Cody FishelDirector of Operations 801.690.6109 Roamamerica.com Jennifer Yee <jyee@utah.gov>Wed, Mar 5, 2025 at 9:13 AM To: DDW Reports <ddwreports@utah.gov> Please import into the site visit folder title 22022 Def Corr 3-2025 Jennifer Yee Environmental Scientist | Division of Drinking Water M: (385) 515-1501 drinkingwater.utah.gov (801) 536-4200 Emails to and from this email address may be considered public records and thus subject to Utah GRAMA requirements. ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Cody Fishel <cody@roamamerica.com> Date: Tue, Mar 4, 2025 at 8:50 PM Subject: Re: Escape RV Resort- Knotty Pine (UTAH22022) CAEO To: Danielle Zebelean <dzebelean@utah.gov> Cc: Colt Smith <acsmith@utah.gov>, Jennifer Yee <jyee@utah.gov> [Quoted text hidden] 10 attachments 3/5/25, 12:57 PM State of Utah Mail - Fwd: Escape RV Resort- Knotty Pine (UTAH22022) CAEO https://mail.google.com/mail/b/AEoRXRTEo9BVkyH_orvWHDvCX0am7TXJ52k6dGwWYeZV961SyVQ_/u/0/?ik=2401283fbe&view=pt&search=all&per…6/9 20241216_111717_281_29.jpg 1822K 20241113_144521(1).jpg 2318K 20241113_144538(1).jpg 2065K 20241212_122828_281_29.jpg 2605K 20241216_120017.jpg 2050K 3/5/25, 12:57 PM State of Utah Mail - Fwd: Escape RV Resort- Knotty Pine (UTAH22022) CAEO https://mail.google.com/mail/b/AEoRXRTEo9BVkyH_orvWHDvCX0am7TXJ52k6dGwWYeZV961SyVQ_/u/0/?ik=2401283fbe&view=pt&search=all&per…7/9 20241216_120209_281_29.jpg 2937K 20241219_123921_281_29.jpg 2525K 20241218_161729_281_29.jpg 2428K 20241218_161432.jpg 2620K 20241219_123938_281_29.jpg 2394K DDW Reports <ddwreports@utah.gov>Wed, Mar 5, 2025 at 12:57 PM To: Jennifer Yee <jyee@utah.gov> 3/5/25, 12:57 PM State of Utah Mail - Fwd: Escape RV Resort- Knotty Pine (UTAH22022) CAEO https://mail.google.com/mail/b/AEoRXRTEo9BVkyH_orvWHDvCX0am7TXJ52k6dGwWYeZV961SyVQ_/u/0/?ik=2401283fbe&view=pt&search=all&per…8/9 done!
