Our most recent survey training should include this detail...to check if a sizing standard has been set for the system or not, that should be used to determine these questions from the survey. That's a difficult thing to ascertain as you'd need to ask this question during the survey and the system would either supply the letter or reach out to permitting to see if that was done. If it has, then that's what should be used to answer those survey questions and not a capacity calculationspreadsheet. Does that help? Michael Newberry, P.E. I understand that this should be reviewed this year and it could change based on the updated review. As shown, "The Division plans to evaluate these standards every 3 years, or upon request." You should be receiving a renewal reminder this year. I hope this clears things up. Ryan Mills and I would like to better understand the source capacity violations. Based on my review of the rule and survey question set I can see why there is a 15 pt violation if the capacity calculation sheet isused to determine source capacity. However, Syracuse has a letter stating that they meet the system-specific minimum requirement (see attached letter and capcity worksheet). I reviewed the question set in regards to source capacity and based on Syracuse's available source supply they are below 20% capacity. Can you advise us on which rule supercedes the other rule, Utah Code 19-4-114 or R309-510-7? If the letter attached meets the requirement for source capacity how do we get the IPS points removed. Thank you for taking the time to review these questions and assist us in understanding the rules. Ryan, Here is the explaination of the rule R309-510-7. There is a violation if you are below 100% of the required source or storage requirements. If you are below 20% it is a minimum violation with 15 pts and if you are above 20% its is a significate violation with 50 pts. Thanks!
