Box 69 East Carbon, UT 84520 RE:Acceptance of Phase 3A Cell Construction, Wasatch Regional Landfill, Tooele County SW237 Dear Mr. Olson: The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) has completed its review of theProject Manual – Phase 3A Expansion Wasatch Regional Landfill(Project Manual) for cell construction at Wasatch Regional Landfill in Tooele County. Based on our review of the Project Manual, the Division accepts your proposed engineering and construction plans. Prior to cell construction, protection of all cell liner material must be properly stored as explained in the Project Manual. During cell construction, inspections may be conducted by the Division or the Tooele County Health Department. These inspections may cover the entire facility, cell construction, or any other part of the facility operation covered by the current permit and applicable solid waste rules. After the completion of the Phase 3A expansion, please submit a cell construction report along with “as-built” construction drawings and documents for Division to review. Please note that solid waste cannot be placed in this cell until 1) a cell construction report and “as-built” documents have been reviewed and accepted by the Division, 2) a final site inspection has been conducted by the Division, and 3) a letter of acceptance from the Division on Phase 3A expansion has been issued to Wasatch Regional Landfill.
