The Division is satisfied with the removal of the green waste and asphalt at the dumping location. However, the Division left a voicemail for Mekieisia Westwood on January 9, 2024 indicating that the rotomill will either need to be removed or the Town of Circleville will need to seek a permit for the pile per Utah Administrative Code (UAC) R315-314-1(b). If the pile is removed, please provide proof that the pile has been removed. If the town would like to apply for a permit, please visit our website and register for a new facility through the Community Portal https://deq.utah.gov/waste-management-and-radiation-control/forms-division-of-waste-management-and-radiation-control. Scroll down on this page until you come to the “Solid Waste Program Forms” section, there you will find a clickable link for “Access the Community Portal.” You will want to register a facility for a waste pile and go through the application process. Please send proof of pile removal or register and apply for a waste pile within 30 days of the date of this letter. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Shaw at kellyshaw@utah.gov or by phone at (385) 454-5832.
