Subject:Operating Permit, Thompson Springs Water Line, Distribution System (DS001);
Central Valley Town, System #21006, File #13325
Dear Charles Evans:The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) received a request for an Operating Permit for the Thompson Springs Water Line from your consultant, Mario Gonzalez with
Sunrise Engineering, Inc. on January 28, 2025. The Division issued Plan Approval for this project on May 11, 2023.
Our understanding of the project is that a new 4-lot subdivision has been approved on the east side
of the existing Central Valley Town water system. The new 8-inch diameter PVC pipeline connected to an existing 10-inch diameter pipeline and extends 2,470 feet eastward along Landslide
Road. The new pipeline includes gate valves, 4 service connections, and 2 fire hydrant assemblies. A hydraulic analysis of the proposed pipeline and new service connections was provided
by Jones & DeMille Engineering and shows that the minimum pressure requirements are met.
We have received the following information for the Thompson Springs Water Line Project:
Certification of Rule Conformance with plan approval conditions by a professional engineer.
As-built or record drawings.
Satisfactory bacteriological results as evidence of proper disinfection and flushing.
We have determined that all conditions for operating permit issuance have been met. On this basis, an Operating Permit for the Thompson Springs Water Lineis hereby issued as constituted
by this letter. You may now place the new 8-inch diameter water line in service in your water system.
Please maintain a copy of this letter with your permanent records for future reference.
