Anderson Groundwater Program Manager EnergySolutions, LLC 299 South Main Street, Suite 1700 Salt Lake City, UT 84111 RE:2024 First Semi-Annual Environmental Monitoring Report Radioactive Material Licenses No. UT 2300249 Radioactive Material Licenses No. UT 2300478 UTD982598898 Dear Mr. Anderson: On November 19th,2024 the Division concluded their data review of the First 2024 Semi-Annual Environmental Monitoring Report for the January 1st, 2024 through June 30th, 2024 reporting period. This review concentrated on various required reporting conditions, from airborne particulate sampling, airborne radon, concentration results, dose to the public, and several other required elements reported in the Semi-Annual Environmental Monitoring Report. During this reporting period all sampling locations were in compliance with Utah Administrative Codes and applicable License conditions except forthe dose limit reported at station A-28. Station A-28 exceeded the regulatory thresholdset by UAC R313-15-301 of 100 mrem/year with a calculated annual dose of 128 mrem/year. Based on the information reviewed during the inspection, the Division is assessingappropriate compliance action to be taken as well as the effectiveness of the reported corrective actions implemented by EnergySolutionsat this time.
