Hi Jen,
Thanks for sending this reminder out. I’m just looking for a little more clarification for which of these need Corrective Action Plans. The surveyor, Ryan Klinge, suggested be able to get an exception for the lack of clearance in the drain and the spring box lid not being a shoebox type lid. Moving the drains slightly and removing the willows tthe spring collection area would not be very hard, and I am happy to request a Corrective Action Plan for those. I am a little confused about the significance deficiency dushoebox type lid. I have attached a document with some more explanation and pictures of what the lid looks like as well as the gasket and the spring box itself. Any advicclarification you have is always appreciated. Let me know if you have any questions and feel free to give me a call to talk about these.
Thanks,
Eli

On October 11, 2024, a sanitary survey was conducted on South Fork Complex, revealing three significant deficiencies. Our records indicate that all of these significadeficiencies remain unresolved.

END OF TANK DRAIN
LINE LACKS A
CLEARANCE OF AT
LEAST 12 INCHES
SIG
There are two separate tank drains, the "fast drain" and a
"main drain" that discharge into the south fork of the
Ogden River at different locations (one is accessible from
Upper Meadows campground and one is accessible from
Lower Meadows campground). Both drains lacked 12
inches of fall into the current level of the Ogden River at
the time of the survey (October 11) and both likely
completely submerge during higher river flows. The
"main drain" was observed open and discharging water
during the inspection to run out the spring for the winter
(spring runs through the tank and out of the open drain
line into the Ogden River). Operators explained that the
"fast drain" drains the tank much faster than the other
drain and is used to drain the tank at the end of the
season. Both drains were adequately screened with #4
mesh during the survey. The tank is located 1,000+ feet
horizontally away from the points of discharge and at a
significantly higher elevation (likely 50-100 feet higher).
