Box 360127 Holden, UT 84636 RE:Completeness of Application – Holden Town Landfill SW273 Dear Mrs. Dallin: On October 8, 2024, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) received your application (DSHW-2024-008650) to renew the permit for the Holden Town Landfill located one mile north off U.S. Highway 50 on Whiskey Creek Road in Holden, Utah. The application has been assigned Permit Number 1401R1. The permit renewal application appears to be complete. The Division will conduct its review of the application relative to the Solid Waste Permitting and Management Rules. If the Division requires additional information during its review of this application, you will be contacted. Following our review and after all parts of the application are determined acceptable, a draft permit will be prepared and mailed to you for your review and comment. Upon resolution of any issues that you may have, the draft permit will be subjected to a 45-day public notice and comment period during which time a public hearing may be scheduled. At the end of the public notice and comment period, any comments received will be addressed, and if necessary, changes will be made to the draft permit. After this, and if no issues preventing the issuance of the permit have been found, a final permit will be issued for ten years. The Division of Air Quality may have regulatory requirements regarding emissions from the landfill. You should contact the Division of Air Quality at (801) 536-4000 for further information on air quality requirements if applicable.
