On September 30, 2024, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control received notification (DSHW-2024-008481)from Western Metals Recycling, LLC that construction of the phase
4 cell is underway and expected to be completed in November. As a reminder, please ensure that run-on and run-off controls are in place prior to cell inspection and submit the as-built
report and plans once the cell construction is completed for our review and approval.Per the notification and in accordance with the facility permit Section II.A.2, “No landfill cells
or run-on and run-off diversion system may be used until construction is approved by the Director...”.
