Box 1329 Boulder Town, UT 84716 RE:Compliance AdvisoryNo. 2404079 ResponseSW188 Dear Ms. Drain: On September 24, 2024 the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control received the Boulder Town response to Compliance Advisory No. 2404079 (DSHW-2024-006159). In the response deadlines were set as outlined below to bring the Boulder Town Class IVb Landfill into compliance: Compliant signage will be installed by 11/30/2024 New daily record forms and a designated record storage location will be implemented by 11/30/2024 Third parties will be contracted to perform closure and post-closure cost estimates by 3/1/2025 A five-year storage allowance for metals will be sought from the Division by 11/30/2024 Financial Assurance will be updated in accordance with the third-party estimates by 3/1/2025 An application to update the facility permit with future waste cell plans will be submitted by 11/30/2024 A training program for all landfill employees will be implemented by 3/1/2025 The facility permit will be updated to reduce waste cell cover frequency by 11/30/2024 The Division approves this timeline for corrective actions. As actions are completed, please submit proof to the Division by uploading documentation utilizing the “Miscellaneous Documents” tab in the Community Portal or you may email documentation to dwmrcsubmit@utah.gov. Applications to modify the facility permit must be submitted through the Community Portal. The Division received the missing 2023 annual report on July 16, 2024. Thank you for submitting that report.
