I looked through the hard file in our office and can't seem to find Document 2 or 3 that you mentioned. Do you have copies of those that you could send me? I would appreciate it. Thanks again... I've been through all of our files but could not find a separate document as you described. However, I think the equivalent was part of other larger documents. There appear to be 3 cleanup-up projects at Syro. There may have more, but the ones I have identified are detailed in the following documents, the first and most important you said you had. 1.Risk Assessment dated October 1998 (160+/- pages) (I think you said you have this) 2.Project Memorandum: Subsurface Investigation Results, January 25, 2001 (85 +/- pages) (copy to Doug Taylor, DS&HW) State of Utah Mail - Fwd: Syro Steel Site: Documents relating to corrective measures DSHW-2023-001649 3.Project Memorandum: Results of west field stripped top soil sampling, March 8, 2002 (12 pages) Document 1 is a summary of work completed as a result of the earlier Corrective Measures Plan. Section 2.4 (beginning on Page 7) describes the contaminated areas. Table 2-2 (page 14) indicates the corrective action for each area. Exposure and Toxicity Assessments and Risk Characterization follow. Conclusions and Recommendations follow on Page 45 with maps, model and Appendices (analytical results) following. Document 2 Is not only the subsurface investigation details but also the description of the clean-up, results, conclusions and analytical testing results. Document 3 is a report of topsoil sampling which had be stripped from one area of the Syro property and piled in another area. Analytical data is attached. I do not see that this was forwarded by us to the Division but may have been forwarded by Syro. In summary, it wasn't our practice for such work to give an "all clear" concerning contaminated sites especially a site with a long history of contamination and existing structures with on-going operations. Rather, we presented the data to the Division and the owner with "risk based" conclusions. Further work was done when appropriate or required by the State or EPA (Super-Fund Sites or other). Let me know if you need additional information. Brent Brent S. Bingham | BINGHAM ENGINEERING, INC. | 262 N.
