Dear Mr. Bleak:
In a letter dated March 21, 2024 and received on March 29, 2024, Anfield Resources Holding Corp. (Anfield) submitted an update to their facility’s estimated surety (DRC-2024-005210).
In a letter dated July 5, 2024, the Utah Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) approved the updated surety estimate and required Anfield to submit documentation
of an updated surety instrument within 60 days (DRC-2024-006105).
In a letter dated July 20, 2024 and received on July 31, 2024, Anfield requested an additional 90 days to submit a revised surety instrument (DRC-2024-006357). In the letter, Anfield
also acknowledged that, in prior conversations with the Division, the Division had indicated that we would only be willing to extend the instrument submission deadline for an additional
30 days.
The Division will allow for an additional 30 days to submit a revised surety instrument. Please submit the updated instrument on or before October 3, 2024. An additional 30 days may
be granted if Anfield can submit documentation demonstrating that continuous efforts to obtain an updated surety instrument have been unsuccessful.If this is the case, please provide
said documentation and a request for an additional extension prior to September 20, 2024
