In accordance with 40 CFR 355.40(b )(1-3), HF Sinclair Woods Cross Refining LLC (HFSWCR) is providing
a written follow-up to the emergency notification of the release that occurred on January 7, 2025. Your office
was notified on January 7, 2025 , of an event that resulted in a release in excess of 10 lbs of Benzene within a
24-hour period .
Upon further review, it was determined that this event was not reportable under the CERCLA petroleum
exclusion , as defined in Section 101(14) of the CERCLA statute.
