I do have one question at the moment- this may be directed towards Brian. What was your calculation to convert the soil gas results from ppbv to ug/m^3 (or what calculator did you use)? I've converted a few and they've all been slightly off so I wanted to verify with you guys first. (If you were curious why I was asking, we're required to verify the lab sheets with the data tables during our review). Thanks! Just to clarify, we did not perform any calculations on the soil gas data. The lab does the conversion as part of the analysis and reports the results in both ppbv and ug/m^3. The general calculation to convert from ppbv to ug/m^3 takes the ppbv result and multiplies it by the molecular weight divided by 24.45 (24.45 is the volume of a mole of gas at standard temp/pressure). The results presented on the data summary tables in the report are taken directly from the concentrations presented in the lab reports in units of ug/m^3. Note – if you are taking the result in ppbv and putting it into automated calculator, or using the calculation above, you also need to account for rounding, which may be why the results don’t exactly match up. I believe the results in the lab report are rounded to 3 significant figures. I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you have further questions or would like to discuss this further.
