Notice of Issuance of Financial Assurance Determination
Pursuant to License Condition 20 of Radioactive Material License No. UT 1900481, on June 27, 2024, Rio Aglom Mining LLC (RAML) submitted a revised reclamation and decommissioning cost
estimate in support of the surety bond on the Lisbon Valley Uranium mill south of La Sal. Representatives of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) reviewed
the submission.
The Director of the Division determined that the matters raised in the Revision Requestdoes not involve the circumstances described in Utah Admin. Code R313-17-2. On that basis, the
Director did not conduct formal public comment regarding the Revision Request. After reviewing and evaluating the Revision Request, the Director determined that it met all applicable
requirements. As a result, on January 17, 2025, the Director approved the Revision Request.
Under Utah Code Section 19-1-301.5, the Director’s approval of the Revision Request shall become final 30 days after the date this Notice of Issuance is published. All other legal rights
and remedies arising from the Director’s approval of the Amendment Request are described in Section 19-1-301.5 and Utah Admin. Code R305-7.
