RE:Approval – Alternative Daily Cover for Little Mountain LandfillSW091
Dear Ms. Nelson:
On July 23, 2024, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) received a letter (DSHW-2024-007477) requesting the approval of alternative daily cover for the Little
Mountain Landfill located at 9595 West 6800 North in Tremonton, Utah. The request is approved.
As stated in the request and associated documentation, the proposed “Wet FAM” material is a by-product of an absorbent raw material foam used in the production of feminine hygiene products
that meets the alternative daily cover requirements of Utah Administrative Code (UAC) R315-303-4(4)(b) and does not present a threat to human health or the environment. The application
schedule submitted to the Division meets the requirements of UAC R315-303-4(4)(c)(iii). Alternative daily cover must be applied accordingly.
