RE:Approval of Phase 5B Expansion Cell, Washington County Landfill, SW215
Dear Mr. Olson:
On June 19, 2024, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) received the Final Construction Quality Assurance Report, Phase 5B Expansion (As-Built Report) for
the Washington County Landfill (Landfill). The As-Built Report was provided by Geo-Logic Associates and was stamped by a professional engineer certifying that the Phase 5B Expansion
Cell has been completed.
The newly constructed Phase 5B Expansion Cell is next to and northwest of the Landfill’s original municipal solid waste disposal cell. Construction progress reports were monitored and
reviewed by the Division during pre-construction and cell construction activities.
Based on our review of the As-Built Report, the Division accepts and concurs with the engineer’s statement and signed certification. The Phase 5B Expansion Cell is hereby approved to
receive waste as specified in Landfill’s current permit
