HomeMy WebLinkAboutDDW-2025-000250 January 14, 2025 Stephen BrownFoothill Water Users Association 2268 North Cottontail Drive Cedar City, Utah 84721 Subject:Concurrence, Preliminary Evaluation Report for the Underground Water Well; Foothill Water Users Association; Water System #11099, Source No. WS001 Dear Stephen Brown: The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) received the Preliminary Evaluation Report (PER) for the Underground Water Well from your consultant, Bryce Ross with Ensign Engineering on October 23, 2024. The Division requested additional information via email on November 6, 2024, and your consultant provided revisions to the PER on November 8, 2024. The Division requested additional information via email on November 12, 2024, and your consultant provided revisions to the report on November 22, 2024. The Division requested additional information via email on December 2, 2024, and your consultant responded on January 8, 2025. We have completed our review of the PER, stamped, and signed by Curtis L. Nielsen, P.E., and dated January 7, 2025, and found that the plan basically complies with the applicable portions of Utah’s Administrative Rules for Public Drinking Water Systems. The Division concurs with this report.A full Drinking Water Source Protection (DWSP) plan is required within 180 days of the date of this letter and before the system can receive an Operating Permit. Please note that final aquifer parameters used in the delineation of the source protection zones must be based on the results of a 24-hour constant-rate test.Please contact Deidre Beck, P.G., at (385) 271-7046 or via email at dbeck@utah.gov if you have questions or concerns about the review of your DWSP plan.
