Re:Request to Approve New Disposal Cell at NGSC Promontory Class ilIb Landfill
Dear Mr.Hansen:
Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation is submitting this request for approval to
commence use of a new cell excavated this year at the M-336 landfill.The cell is a
new asbestos trench that will be tracked with the identifier AA-35.AA-35 was
excavated directly adjacent and to the north of the trash cell,OT-14,and is
approximately 300 feet long and 50 feet wide and 20 ft deep.Northrop Grumman
anticipates the new cell will be needed for disposal operations in the first half of
CY2024.
Enclosed is a drawing of the M-336 landfill site.The location of the new cell is
highlighted in yellow on the plan drawing.A photograph of the new cell is provided
for reference.
