PUBLIC NOTICETHE 2024 INTENDED USE PLAN & PROJECT PRIORITY LIST
The Utah Water Quality Board is accepting public comment on the proposed 2023 Intended Use Plan (IUP) & Project Priority List (PPL) for the Utah Wastewater Project Assistance Program
which allows for funding of wastewater treatment projects, nonpoint source pollution control, storm water, and underground wastewater disposal system projects. Additional requirements
per the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) are addressed. Best available information and data was utilized to develop the IUP & PPL. THOSE AFFECTED BY THE PROPOSED CHANGES:
The proposed IUP & PPL have the potential of affecting many of the political subdivisions in Utah responsible for providing wastewater conveyance, treatment, or storm water systems and
individuals that are interested in low-interest loans to construct nonpoint source pollution control projects or improve underground wastewater disposal systems. It is very important
that all communities and individuals, prior to being funded through the SRF Loan Program, be ranked using criteria listed in U.A.C. R-317-100 and be included on the IUP.
Funding in the form of loans during 2024 may be made available to projects listed on the IUP & PPL that are ready to proceed subject to availability of funds. The number of projects that
may be funded may vary depending on future changes in the ranking of projects, eligibility determinations, congressional appropriations, and other relevant factors. PUBLIC COMMENTS
