RE:McWane Ductile - Request to Add an Additional Waste StreamSW163
Dear Mr. Ellison:
On March 25, 2024, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) received your request (DSHW-2024-005453) to add an additional waste stream to your Class IIIb landfill.
Upon review of the sampling results that were sent with the request and discussions with our Hazardous Waste team, we are unable to approve this request. The Division requests a Sampling
and Analysis Plan (SAP) be submitted for approval prior to sampling of the coke fines that you would like to landfill. Once the SAP has been approved by the Division, sampling in accordance
with the SAP may be performed and the results can then be submitted to the Division. The Division will then evaluate the results to determine if the proposed coke fines are non-hazardous
and qualify for landfilling at your landfill.
