Absorbent was used for immediate clean-up. excavation of soils is scheduled for 12/19. The
extent of the spill is still unknown. The tanks are near stagnant water/wetlands at the airport. Spill
was reported to NRC- Incident Report # 1419312.
During jet fuel load into AST, the tank overflowed & caused a spill of Jet A fuel onto the cement
pad & rocks surrounding the pad. Estimated to be 300 gallons. Spill was due to equipment failure
of the shut off gauge on the tank & operator error.
