Revision to Drawing 10014 C04
Dear Mr. Anderson,
EnergySolutions herein requests that drawing 10014-004, approved in Table 2C of
Groundwater Quality Discharge Permit UGW450005, be revised to Revision 4 as
attached. Justification for this change is provided below.
A review of Permit changes noted that the sacrificial soil gradation specification within
the LLRW and 11e.(2) Construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manual was
revised in 2007. The revision (from 21b to 22f) changed quality control for the gradation
specification (currently Specification number 172) from residual moisture content testing
to gradation testing. The final request for this change was made on October 22, 2007
(CD07-0341) and approved by the Division of Radiation Control in a letter dated October
24, 2007. Changes to the drawing were not made at that time and the moisture
specification remained on the drawing. EnergySolutions requests the attached revision 4
to Drawing 10014-004, dated April 13, 2018, to remove the moisture specification
requirement from the drawing.
