We reviewed your letter and evaluated the remediation work that has been accomplished by the Utah Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). As stated in my letter to Michelle Peot dated June 28, 2023, the EPA conducted a review of existing remedial plans and site management documents. Additionally, we reviewed DEQ’s response letter to you dated March 7, 2024, specifically addressing your public drinking water source concerns. The EPA concurs with DEQ’s summary that the site meets the cleanup standards proposed in the remedial action plan and that a site management and environmental covenant are in place to govern future site activities and ensure the remedy remains protective. Thank you for your letter and for your concern for public health. Sincerely, Douglas Bacon, Acting Section Supervisor Superfund Remedial Program cc: Liz Stengl, EPA Bill Rees, DEQ
