Good Morning Gary,
The Washington County Water Conservancy District had drilled a new culinary water well (Well #15) in the Dixie Springs area. A Drinking Water Source Protection Plan (DWSPP) has been
prepared for the well which is part of a larger culinary water source field in the vicinity. The DWSPP has identified the protection zones for the wells in the source field, including
the new Well #15 as shown on the attached map (Figures 2C). Figure 5 (also attached) shows the specific Zone 1 and Zone 2 boundaries for Well #15.
Hurricane City Ordinance 8-1A-4 requires the maps of the drinking water source protection zones to be filed with the City Planning Office.
We are unsure exactly who to file the maps with at the City, but assume it is with your office. The ordinance also requires the maps be filed with the County Recorder's Office, and
it is assumed that filing would be done by your office.
Please advise us of the proper procedure and parties for filing if the above is not correct. We appreciate your assistance.
Thanks,
Russ Vernon, PE
