RE:Exploration & Production Waste Stakeholder Meeting

The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) in coordination with the Division of Oil Gas & Mining (DOGM), would like to invite Utah’s exploration and production
waste facility owners, operators, and other interested parties to participate in a Stakeholder meeting to discuss draft rules that ensure proper management of solid wastesfrom the oil
and gas industryand meet federal and state program requirements of protecting human health and the environment.
The meeting is intended to initiate discussions and providean opportunity for stakeholders to engage in an informal draft rule process that precedes a formal rule making comment period.
Written and verbal comments received during the informal process will be considered, and appropriate changes may be made before the proposed rules are published for a formal public comment
period later this year.

To allow maximum convenience for participation, the meeting will be hybrid to accommodate both inperson and virtual attendance. Following our brief presentation, we will hold a question
and answer (Q&A) session. This letter serves as an invitation for your participation in the meeting outlined below.
