RE: Jacobs Smelter OU2 Remedial Action Final Site Inspection; Construction Complete

Dear Ms. Akselrod:

The Division of Environmental Response and Remediation (DERR) conducted a final site
inspection of the Jacobs Smelter Superfund Site, Operable Unit 2 (Site), on November 5, 2024, with
AECOM technical services and a representative from Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc.
The DERR has determined that all restoration requirements pertaining to the Remedial Action
Construction have been adequately met, and all remaining equipment and materials have been
demobilized from the Site.

The DERR considers the Remedial Action Construction for the Site complete. Please submit
the final invoice to AECOM for certification and payment.
