Box 519 Heber City, Utah 84032 Subject:Plan Approval, 6800 Pump Station (PF017); Jordanelle Special Service District, System #26086, File #13623 Dear Max Covey:The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) received the plans and specifications for the proposed 6800 Pump Station project from your consultant, Jason Bradford, P.E. with BT Engineering, on February 7, 2024. Written review comments were provided to your consultant on February 16, 2024. The Division received the revised plans and specifications on February 28. 2024. This project has met the conditions for receiving a plan approval. Our understanding of the project is the construction of a new pump station called the 6800 Pump Station (identified as PF017 in the Division’s database). The pump station will be equipped with four (4), 250-horsepower vertical turbine pumps, each with a capacity of 1,000 gallons per minute (gpm). The design includes redundancy with a total design flow of 3,000 gpm. The pump station will deliver water from the 6800 Tank (ST018) to the Lady Monument Tank (ST010), which will serve a new development with approximately 2,850 equivalent residential connections for the first phase. The proposed Benlock Pump Station (PF018) will serve as a second feed into the Lady Monument Tank. Jordanelle Special Service District completed a Master Plan in 2022 which included an evaluation of the capacity needs for the Lady Monument Tank Zone and outlined plans for an additional 2-million-gallon tank to support additional connections. We have completed our review of the plans and specifications, stamped, and signed byJason Bradford, P.E., dated January 31, 2024, and find they basically comply with the applicable portions of Utah’s Administrative Rules for Public Drinking Water Systems in R309. On this basis, the plans for the 6800 Pump Station (PF017) are hereby approved. This approval pertains to construction only. An Operating Permit must be obtained from the Director before the 6800 Pump Station (PF017) may be put into service. A checklist outlining the items required for operating permit issuance is enclosed for your information.Approvals or permits from the local authority or the county may be necessary before beginning construction of this project. As the project proceeds, notice of any changes in the approved design, as well as any change affecting the quantity or quality of the delivered water, must be submitted to the Division. We may also conduct interim and final inspections of this project. Please notify us when actual construction begins so that these inspections can be scheduled. This approval must be renewed if construction has not begun or if substantial equipment has not been ordered within one year of the date of this letter.
