BACTERIOLOGICAL SAMPLE SITE PLAN
As part of the Revised Total Coliform Rule, the location from which samples are taken is to be varied. All water systems are
required to maintain a cunent bacteriological sample siting plan. The plan shows the locations of all sample sites from which
bacteriological tests are taken. Sample siles are to be representative of all pressure zones and each water source of the
dishibution system, The sample plan should be revised regularly and following any major construction project impacting tire
distribution system.

lf REPEAT Sampling is ever needed, Providence City will take the repeats where needed. Providence
City employees will use residents sinks and Fire Hydrants upstream and downstream of the failed
Routine Sample. City employees will know which source is feeding the area based on the Month or
Season. So the Triggered sample will be taken appropriately. lf a city owned site is needed or
required that is locked a city employee can be dispatched to assist. Call anytime with any questions
