Here’s some additional information about the crawl space vents. The gap in the wood sill will initially be covered up by
the skirt piece (the wood between the foundation and the siding). The builder will then cut out the wood over the gap to
expose it. Then a piece of wire mesh will go over the gap and that completes the vent. Does that make sense?
