4.CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT "BLUE STAKES" PRIOR TO START OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES BY CALLING 811 OR SUBMITTING AN ONLINE UTILITY LOCATION REQUEST
AT WWW.BLUESTAKES.ORG.
5.CONTRACTOR SHALL IMPLEMENT AN EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PROGRAM DURING THE PROJECT GRADING AND/OR CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES. THE PROGRAM
SHALL MEET ALL APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS OF THE STATE OF UTAH AND PARADISE.
6."PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT SUBJECT TO DESUETUDE OR DAMAGE." IF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF SUCH PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS IS REQUIRED, THE OWNER SHALL OBTAIN
THE REQUIRED PERMITS FOR WORK IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY, SATISFACTORY TO THE PERMIT- ISSUING AUTHORITY.

SETTERS, BARRELS, ETC.) SHALL BE PROVIDED AND INSTALLED BY THE
CONTRACTOR. PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF BARRELS, LOCATIONS

8.DRIVEWAYS ACROSS SWALES MUST COMPLY WITH THE TOWN OF
PARADISE PUBLIC WORKS STANDARD DRAWINGS.
9.ALL CULINARY WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS ARE TO COMPLY WITH
THE TOWN OF PARADISE STANDARD CULINARY WATER SYSTEM
INSTALLATION DRAWINGS & SPECIFICATIONS.
10.ANY BORING OF WATERLINES SHOULD BE DONE WITH BUTT-FUSED DR11
HDPE PIPE BY DIRECTIONAL BORING METHODS AND CONNECTED TO
PVC PIPE WITH ROMAC ALPHA STYLE RESTRAINED CONNECTORS.
BOOSTER PUMP GENERAL NOTES:
1.BOOSTER PUMP STATION BE FURNISHED WITH TWO SEPARATE PUMPS: A
SMALL PUMP FOR EVERY-DAY USE FOR MAINTAINING PRESSURE AND
DEMAND FOR NORMAL RESIDENTIAL INDOOR USE AT A PRESSURE OF 70-
80 PSI. A LARGER PUMP WILL FURNISH THE ADDITIONAL 500 GPM FOR
FIRE SUPPRESSION. THIS PUMP WILL START UP WHEN THE PRESSURE IN
THE NEW 8” LINE DROPS TO A TARGET PRESSURE OF 45 PSI AT THE PUMP
STATION AND MAINTAINS THIS PRESSURE DURING A FIRE SUPPRESSION
EVENT. BOTH PUMPS SHOULD HAVE VARIABLE DISCHARGE OUTPUTS TO
MAINTAIN PRESSURES DURING VARIABLE DEMANDS. OTHER
CONFIGURATIONS MAY BE CONSIDERED AND PROPOSED BY THE
DEVELOPER FOR REVIEW BY PARADISE AND THE UTAH DIVISION OF
DRINKING WATER.
2.THE CALCULATED PRESSURE AT THE CONNECTION OF THE BOOSTER
PUMP STATION TO THE EXISTING TOWN WATERLINE DURING A 500 GPM
FIRE FLOW IN THE NEW FIRE HYDRANT AND RESIDENTIAL DEMAND IS
ABOUT 45.5 PSI. THE FIRE FLOW BOOSTER PUMP WILL NEED TO
OVERCOME FRICTION LOSS AND ELEVATION GAIN TO FURNISH THE
REQUIRED FLOW AT A MINIMUM OF 35 PSI AT THE HIGHEST ELEVATION OF
THE SOUTH PROPOSED LOT.
3.THE CALCULATED PRESSURE AT THE CONNECTION OF THE BOOSTER
PUMP STATION TO THE EXISTING TOWN WATERLINE DURING PEAK
INSTANTANEOUS DEMAND WITHOUT A FIRE FLOW EVENT IS
APPROXIMATELY 35.7 PSI. THE SMALLER PUMP SHOULD BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING AT LEAST 70 PSI (PREFERABLY 80 PSI) AT THE HIGHEST LOT
DURING PEAK RESIDENTIAL DEMAND OF THE 3 LOTS. THERE IS A RISE OF
APPROXIMATELY 35 FEET BETWEEN THE BOOSTER PUMP STATION
LOCATION AND THE CENTER OF THE SOUTH LOT OF THE PROPOSED
SUBDIVISION.
4.BOOSTER PUMP SHALL BE HOUSED IN A CMU STRUCTURE. SEE
STRUCTURAL PLANS AND CIVIL DETAILS FOR MORE INFORMATION. THE
BOOSTER PUMP SHALL BE INSTALLED PER MANUFACTURERS
RECOMMENDATIONS.
5.CONSIDERATION IS NEEDED TO ADJUST THE RESIDUAL INLET PRESSURE
AT THE PUMPS AND ASSOCIATED PUMP CAPACITY AND RESIDUAL INLET
PRESSURES. WHEN BOOSTER PUMPS ARE OPERATING, THE DIVISION OF
DRINKING WATER REQUIRES THAT A MINIMUM OF 25 PSI BE MAINTAINED
AT THE INLET.

BOOSTER PUMP GENERAL NOTES:
1.BOOSTER PUMP STATION BE FURNISHED WITH TWO SEPARATE PUMPS: A
SMALL PUMP FOR EVERY-DAY USE FOR MAINTAINING PRESSURE AND
DEMAND FOR NORMAL RESIDENTIAL INDOOR USE AT A PRESSURE OF 70-
80 PSI. A LARGER PUMP WILL FURNISH THE ADDITIONAL 500 GPM FOR
FIRE SUPPRESSION. THIS PUMP WILL START UP WHEN THE PRESSURE IN
THE NEW 8” LINE DROPS TO A TARGET PRESSURE OF 45 PSI AT THE PUMP
STATION AND MAINTAINS THIS PRESSURE DURING A FIRE SUPPRESSION
EVENT. BOTH PUMPS SHOULD HAVE VARIABLE DISCHARGE OUTPUTS TO
MAINTAIN PRESSURES DURING VARIABLE DEMANDS. OTHER
CONFIGURATIONS MAY BE CONSIDERED AND PROPOSED BY THE
DEVELOPER FOR REVIEW BY PARADISE AND THE UTAH DIVISION OF
DRINKING WATER.
2.THE CALCULATED PRESSURE AT THE CONNECTION OF THE BOOSTER
PUMP STATION TO THE EXISTING TOWN WATERLINE DURING A 500 GPM
FIRE FLOW IN THE NEW FIRE HYDRANT AND RESIDENTIAL DEMAND IS
ABOUT 45.5 PSI. THE FIRE FLOW BOOSTER PUMP WILL NEED TO
OVERCOME FRICTION LOSS AND ELEVATION GAIN TO FURNISH THE
REQUIRED FLOW AT A MINIMUM OF 35 PSI AT THE HIGHEST ELEVATION OF
THE SOUTH PROPOSED LOT.
3.THE CALCULATED PRESSURE AT THE CONNECTION OF THE BOOSTER
PUMP STATION TO THE EXISTING TOWN WATERLINE DURING PEAK
INSTANTANEOUS DEMAND WITHOUT A FIRE FLOW EVENT IS
APPROXIMATELY 35.7 PSI. THE SMALLER PUMP SHOULD BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING AT LEAST 70 PSI (PREFERABLY 80 PSI) AT THE HIGHEST LOT
DURING PEAK RESIDENTIAL DEMAND OF THE 3 LOTS. THERE IS A RISE OF
APPROXIMATELY 35 FEET BETWEEN THE BOOSTER PUMP STATION
LOCATION AND THE CENTER OF THE SOUTH LOT OF THE PROPOSED
SUBDIVISION.
4.BOOSTER PUMP SHALL BE HOUSED IN A CMU STRUCTURE. SEE
STRUCTURAL PLANS AND CIVIL DETAILS FOR MORE INFORMATION. THE
BOOSTER PUMP SHALL BE INSTALLED PER MANUFACTURERS
RECOMMENDATIONS.
5.CONSIDERATION IS NEEDED TO ADJUST THE RESIDUAL INLET PRESSURE
AT THE PUMPS AND ASSOCIATED PUMP CAPACITY AND RESIDUAL INLET
PRESSURES. WHEN BOOSTER PUMPS ARE OPERATING, THE DIVISION OF
DRINKING WATER REQUIRES THAT A MINIMUM OF 25 PSI BE MAINTAINED
AT THE INLET.

BOOSTER PUMP GENERAL NOTES:
1.BOOSTER PUMP STATION BE FURNISHED WITH TWO SEPARATE PUMPS: A
SMALL PUMP FOR EVERY-DAY USE FOR MAINTAINING PRESSURE AND
DEMAND FOR NORMAL RESIDENTIAL INDOOR USE AT A PRESSURE OF 70-
80 PSI. A LARGER PUMP WILL FURNISH THE ADDITIONAL 500 GPM FOR
FIRE SUPPRESSION. THIS PUMP WILL START UP WHEN THE PRESSURE IN
THE NEW 8” LINE DROPS TO A TARGET PRESSURE OF 45 PSI AT THE PUMP
STATION AND MAINTAINS THIS PRESSURE DURING A FIRE SUPPRESSION
EVENT. BOTH PUMPS SHOULD HAVE VARIABLE DISCHARGE OUTPUTS TO
MAINTAIN PRESSURES DURING VARIABLE DEMANDS. OTHER
CONFIGURATIONS MAY BE CONSIDERED AND PROPOSED BY THE
DEVELOPER FOR REVIEW BY PARADISE AND THE UTAH DIVISION OF
DRINKING WATER.
2.THE CALCULATED PRESSURE AT THE CONNECTION OF THE BOOSTER
PUMP STATION TO THE EXISTING TOWN WATERLINE DURING A 500 GPM
FIRE FLOW IN THE NEW FIRE HYDRANT AND RESIDENTIAL DEMAND IS
ABOUT 45.5 PSI. THE FIRE FLOW BOOSTER PUMP WILL NEED TO
OVERCOME FRICTION LOSS AND ELEVATION GAIN TO FURNISH THE
REQUIRED FLOW AT A MINIMUM OF 35 PSI AT THE HIGHEST ELEVATION OF
THE SOUTH PROPOSED LOT.
3.THE CALCULATED PRESSURE AT THE CONNECTION OF THE BOOSTER
PUMP STATION TO THE EXISTING TOWN WATERLINE DURING PEAK
INSTANTANEOUS DEMAND WITHOUT A FIRE FLOW EVENT IS
APPROXIMATELY 35.7 PSI. THE SMALLER PUMP SHOULD BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING AT LEAST 70 PSI (PREFERABLY 80 PSI) AT THE HIGHEST LOT
DURING PEAK RESIDENTIAL DEMAND OF THE 3 LOTS. THERE IS A RISE OF
APPROXIMATELY 35 FEET BETWEEN THE BOOSTER PUMP STATION
LOCATION AND THE CENTER OF THE SOUTH LOT OF THE PROPOSED
SUBDIVISION.
4.BOOSTER PUMP SHALL BE HOUSED IN A CMU STRUCTURE. SEE
STRUCTURAL PLANS AND CIVIL DETAILS FOR MORE INFORMATION. THE
BOOSTER PUMP SHALL BE INSTALLED PER MANUFACTURERS
RECOMMENDATIONS.
5.CONSIDERATION IS NEEDED TO ADJUST THE RESIDUAL INLET PRESSURE
AT THE PUMPS AND ASSOCIATED PUMP CAPACITY AND RESIDUAL INLET
PRESSURES. WHEN BOOSTER PUMPS ARE OPERATING, THE DIVISION OF
DRINKING WATER REQUIRES THAT A MINIMUM OF 25 PSI BE MAINTAINED
AT THE INLET.
