Dear Mr. Rogers: In a letter (CD 2024-082) dated April 10, 2024, EnergySolutions (ES) requested approval for Construction of Phase 3E Liner & Lysimeter with construction plans. The division assumes all CQA/QC and discharge permit requirements apply. The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (DWMRC) staff reviewed the proposed request and approved the construction ofPhase 3E Liner & Lysimeter per submitted construction planswith the following condition:Division staff request inspection with 48-hour notice during construction of all Lysimeter connections, construction, and testing and reserve the right to request changes to plans to improve environmental protection.
