Director December 23, 2024 Scott Taylor St George City Water System 175 E 200 N St George, UT 84770 Subject: Notice of Decreased Monitoring for St George City Water System; UTAH27015 Scott Taylor: The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) understands that St George City maintains compliance with the arsenic maximum contaminant level (MCL) through blending of sources and centralized treatment at the Gunlock Water Treatment Facility (TP038). On December 5, 2024, Kerry Benson requested that the Division re-evaluate St George City Water System’s arsenic monitoring requirements. According to the Divisions records, compliance has been demonstrated through monthly arsenic samples collected from the various facility point of entries, upstream of the first service connections. St George City qualifies for reduced arsenic monitoring. The sampling frequencies for arsenic have been reduced from monthly to quarterly. Quarterly samples will now be required from the following facilities: 1. Sampling Station – 10 12 13 17 18 22 24 31 (identified as SS137) 2. Sampling Station – 01-08 (SS953) 3.
