Dear Paul Ashton:
The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) received a request, on October 30, 2024, for an Operating Permit for the 10000 S Water Transmission Line project from your consultant Angela
Xia of Sunrise Engineering. The Division issued Plan Approval for this project on March 21, 2023. The updates on the project were received by the Division Staff on December 16, 2024.
This project has met all the conditions for receiving an operating permit.
Our understanding of the project is that the White City ID constructed the Harston 2MG Tank (ST005) for reliable water supply to its customers. The tank is located near 2650 E 9900 S,
Sandy, Utah. In order to supply water to the White City distribution system, 6,251 feet of 18-inch diameter ductile iron (DI) pressure Class 350 and 1,793 feet of 12-inch diameter DI
(Class 350) pipe was installed mostly along the 10000 South roadway in Sandy. This transmission line has two connections to the distribution pipeline, one at the intersection of 9800
S and Highland Drive where it connects to a 16-inch diameter DI pipeline, and the other at the intersection of Roseboro Road and Gyrfalcon Drive where it connects to the White City 8-inch
diameter DI distribution pipeline immediately serving the service connections. The 2MG tank gets water from the two wells of White City and supplies it through 18-inch diameter transmission
mains.
We have received the following information for 10000 S Water Transmission Line Project:
Certification of Rule Conformance with plan approval conditions by a professional engineer.
Satisfactory bacteriological results as evidence of proper disinfection and flushing.
Evidence of operation and maintenance manual delivery.
We have determined that all conditions for issuing an operating permit have been met. On this basis, an Operating Permit for 10000 S Water Transmission Line Projectis hereby issued as
constituted by this letter. You may now place this reservoirin service in your water system. 
Please maintain a copy of this letter with your permanent records for future reference.
