Re: Warning Letter - Staker Parson Companies, Temporary Relocation/Operation, Notice of
Intent - DAQC-I368-23 and40 CFR Part 60 Subpart OOO, Sanpete County
On July 29, 2024, the Utah Division of Air Quality (DAQ) conducted an inspection of Staker Parson
Centerfield Pit and Asphalt Plant located at 400 East 400 North, Centerfield, UT in Sanpete County. Based
on information provided following the inspection, the DAQ observed that a Method 9 initial performance
test was not performed for the diesel powered track mounted impact crusher. Additionally, monthly spray
nozzle inspections were not performed while the crusher was operating on-site. As a result of those
observations, the DAQ believes that Staker Parson Companies was in violation of DAQC- l 3 68-23 and
40 CFR Part 60 Subpart OOO.
Please be aware this letter is a waming and that future instances of noncompliance may be considered
violations of DAQC- I 3 68-23 and Staker Parson Companies may be assessed penalties up to $ 1 0,000 per
day if found to be in violation of Utah Air Quality Rules.
