Dear Andrew Beecher:The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) received the remaining items required for a permanent operating permit for the Caretaker Spring #1 and Caretaker Spring
#2. The Division issued a Plan Approval for this project on July 20, 2017, and a Temporary Operating Permit for the springs on May 11, 2018 to allow time for spring yield data collection.
Our understanding of the project is that the Valley View Stake Camp water system was improved to include the redeveloping the existing Caretakers Spring #1 and #2 (WS001 & WS002 in the
Divisions inventory).
We have received the following information for Caretaker Spring #1 and #2:
Three years of spring yield data.
We have determined that all conditions of issuing an Operating Permit have been accomplished. On this basis, an Operating Permit for Caretaker Spring #1 and #2 is hereby issued as constituted
by this letter.
Please maintain a copy of this letter with your permanent records for future reference.The yield of Caretaker Spring #1 (WS001) is determined to be 3 gallons per minute (gpm) based on
the spring flow information we received. The yield of Caretaker Spring #2 (WS002) is determined to be 10 gallons per minute (gpm) based on the spring flow information we received. This
yield is the basis for determining the maximum number of connections that the Caretaker Spring #1 and Caretaker Spring #2 can serve.
