REPORT NARRATIVE:
On November 15, 2023 a representative of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation control
(Division) conducted a site investigation of BECK'S SANITATION INC. (Beck's Sanitation) located at 543
Iron Rose Place in Salt Lake City, UT 84151 as a result of recurring issues discovered by Division staff with
liquid waste disposal throughout the state. The purpose of the site visit was to investigate the business
of Beck's Sanitation to determine if their business operations fell under the jurisdiction of the Division
and R315-301 through 320 of the Utah Administrative Code.
The inspectors arrived at the facility and met with Joseph Kingston in his office. Joseph answered the
inspector's questions on how the facility operates and handles waste. Joseph disclosed that Beck's
Sanitation collects various sludges and liquid wastes and transports that waste to the facility location at
543 Iron Rose Place. After waste is brought to this location, depending on the consistency of waste, it is
then unloaded into the exterior holding cells (shown in pictures below) to evaporate some of the liquid.

The liquid waste is then pumped into the interior holding silos (shown in pictures below). From the
holding silos, the waste is transferred to the pump trucks and transported to the final disposal location.
