DATE: November 20, 2023
SUBJECT: No Further Action, Leaking Underground Storage Tank Release
Holiday Oil #45 located at 267 West 12300 South, Draper Facility 4002333 Release
OHJ
A release of petroleum was reported to the Division of Environmental Response and Remediation
on February 24, 2023 based on samples taken at the time of tank closure. The extent and degree of
contamination has been fully defined and a No Further Action (NFA) review is hereby requested.
Case file information justifying no further action includes the following:
This site is an active gas station. Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) were removed in two
locations in November 2022 and February 2023 and new tanks were installed west of the
dispenser area. Three sample locations, GW-E on November 29, 2022 as well as GW-S and
GW-N on February 7, 2023 had petroleum constituents above state established cleanup levels.
On September 29, 2023 a subsurface investigation was conducted, all samples contained
petroleum constituents below ISL’s (Initial Screening Levels). This means there is a small
amount of contamination localized in the old tank basins.
