Dear Mr. Gurr:
The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (“Division”) has received your response to the Inspection Module 10 Compliance Advisory dated sent to EnergySolutions onMarch 5,
2024 (DRC-2024-005169; CD-2024-067). The Division appreciates your prompt response.
In your response to the Compliance Advisory, it is noted that the Division referred toan incorrect waste profile number (1073 instead of 1072). The Division appreciates your attention
to detail and would like to clarify the administrative record that this was indeed a typographical error. As you correctly concluded, the Division was scrutinizing waste profile 1072,
not waste profile 1073.
The Division finds EnergySolutions’ proposed corrective actions acceptable to resolve the findings detailed in the March 2024 Compliance Advisory and has no further comment. A follow-up
inspection will be conducted during the latter half of 2024 to ensure all corrective actions have been implemented. The Division considers this matter closed.
