Dear Ms.Ross: The Divisioncompleted the inspection and split sampling that occurred on October 18, 2024, for the groundwater monitoring event (“Monitoring Event”) for RAMLat the former Lisbon Valley Uranium Mill Facility (“Facility”).This inspection included the collection of split samples by the Division of selected groundwater monitoring wells. The inspection was based on compliance with the:Rio Algom Mining LLC, July 31, 2015, Groundwater Monitoring Plan Lisbon Facility(“Plan”).Utah Radioactive Materials License No. UT1900481, Amendment 6 (License). The findings of this inspection and results of the analytical analysis for the Division split samples of the wells will also be included as part of the Division review of the 2024 Annual Groundwater Monitoring Report due by March 1, 2025. Based on Division staff observations of RAML staff performing the sampling and monitoring on October 18, 2024, it appears that the staff follows field sampling requirements in the Plan and License. This letter constitutes a closeout of the field inspection performed on October 18, 2024, for the 2024 annualgroundwatermonitoring event.
