Dear Mr. Anderson: On September 17, 2024, an inspection was performed at EnergySolutions’ Clivefacility by representatives of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division). The inspection assessed the conditions of Waste Handling Facilities at the Clive siteas they relate to compliance with conditions of the Ground Water Quality Discharge Permit, UGW450005 (Permit). Results of theinspection were discussed with Roger Ekins and David Boothat the conclusion of the site inspection. Based on the findings documented during the inspection, the items observed and reviewed were found to be in compliance with the requirements of the Permit. However, as a reminder, notification of BAT failures at the SRS DU Building must be reported within 24 hours of discovery, regardless of whether the discovery occurs at the time of a BAT inspection.
