Dear Mr. Covington:Subject:Approval to Usethe EastITDF(Intermediate Tailings Disposal Facility) Dam Raise to an Elevation of 5840 Feet.
The Division of Water Quality (DWQ) conducted a final inspection on November 22, 2024 of theEast ITDF Dam Raise to an Elevation of 5840 Feet. On November 22, 2024 DWQ received the “DWQ-ITDF
QC” (Quality Control) by email from Greg Guzzle. There were a few seams that were missing from that documentation and that was reported to Mr. Guzzle on November 27, 2024. Mr. Guzzle
then submitted the missing tests on December 9, 2024. On December 10, 2024, DWQ received the documentation for the soils testing.
Based on the final inspection, the review of the various QC documents, DWQ approves the use of the East ITDF Dam Raise.
