Good afternoon Chad.
I'm sending this email to let you know that our RTO is down right now due to one of the
poppet valves being stuck open. We are already scheduled to have both poppet valves
replaced and upgraded the week of Nov 4th. We're trying to see if we can move that
timeframe up for the repairs and get this taken care of now since it's broke down anyway.
Hopefully, we will be able to. If not, I'll be collecting numbers and info for any paint jobs
sprayed and VOCs released anyway. I'll keep you informed of our progress.

Hi Chad,
Bruce is in training this week so I can respond to this. We experienced a major mechanical failure in the
poppet valves - this was an issue that we had idenfied during our last major inspecon of the system
earlier this year and we idenfied the need to upgrade these valves. We have a contractor onsite
performing the upgrade and retrofing a new so-close system on the valves that will give us greater
system reliability. At the same me, we are replacing our main motor and processing wheel assembly and
replacing some insulaon gaps in the combuson chamber which will also help keep downmes to a
minimum. We expect to have all maintenance complete by the end of this week and be back up and fully
operaonal next week. Let me know if you have any addional quesons. Thanks!

Good morning, Chad.
I am sorry. Our RTO has had some major upgrades made to it. It is back up running at 100%
as of 11-8-24. We started it back up that weekend. The poppet valves have been replaced with
a much better, smoother, more efficient type valve. Insulation was replaced in places that was
needed, etc. This should mean much less down time for the RTO in the future.
I have collected all the numbers for the VOCs released during this time that the RTO was
down and I have turned them into our Environmental Engineer. There were only a couple
painting events from 10-27 thru 11-5. I am waiting for an email back from the Engineer
stating the actual VOC numbers and then I'll forward them over to you.
Again, I am sorry for the delay. I'll contact him this morning and see where we are with this.

I still haven't received those final VOC numbers from our Env. Engineer. I'll reach out now
and should hear something in the morning and get back with you tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be

Here are the final VOC numbers for when our RTO was down. There were only a couple
painting events during that time.
Total emissions from 10-27 thru 11-5.
Total emissions for October: 77.5 pounds VOC
Total emission for November: 104.9 pounds VOC

Grand Total: 182.4 pounds VOC
