Yes SUMMARY: This was a site visit by the DERR to check on the status of the site. The DERR, along with representatives of Terracon (Nancy Saunders, Amy Austin, and Andrew Turner) observed installation of a 20 mil liner in the crawl space of the home being built on lot #212. The liner is part of the Vapor Intrusion Mitigation System (VIMS) planned for certain homes in this development. The DERR and Terracon had discussions with the contractor regarding the requirements for taping of the of the seams, a minimum overlap of 12 inches between separate pieces of liner material, and the fact that a slab of concrete is planned to cover this liner. We also observed placement of rigid foam insulation at lots #221 and #222 in preparation for two homes that will be built adjacent and connected with each other. The actual placement of liner material for the VIMS was expected to commence at ~3:30 pm that day. Terracon was planning a return to the site to observe this process. Looking west at Lot #212. Placement of 20 mil liner material is underway. Pink/purple material is rigid foam to underlay the liner. A concrete slab is to be poured over these materials.
