Jamie,
In May 2022, the Division issued an exception to R309-545-14(1) for Berra 1 MG Tank (ST007) related to the curb of the
access opneing not being poured continuously with the roof of the tank. The exception was issued with an expiration date
of 04/30/2025.
After some internal discussion, it has been determined that this exception is not necessary as the curb was poured with a
water stop which provides a protective seal around the curb and meets the intent of the rule. Tooele City does not need to
submit a request to renew the exception and the expiration date can be disregarded. No action is needed on your part. I'll
make a note in our system so future Division engineers and surveyors are aware that the exception is no longer needed.
