RE: Radioactive Material License UT2300249: Request to Transfer for Reuse Radiologically Contaminated Equipment
Dear Mr. Rogers:
This response is in regard to your July 23, 2024 letter (DRC-2024-006344) requesting authorization to transfer your Brokk Robot C14000430, which is currently stored at the Clive Facility,which
is to be transferred to EnergySolutions’Memphis Tennessee licensed facility. Your letter states that this transfer will be made in accordance with your CL-SR-PR-060 procedure, OutgoingShipment
of Radioactive Material (revision 4), and in compliance with applicable U.S. Department of Transportation shipment requirements.
After review of your CL-SR-PR-060procedure and your UT2300249 Radioactive Material License, the Division can find no requirement for you to request authorization to ship this item as
long as it is shipped in compliance with applicable U.S. Department of Transportation shipment requirements, and that you maintain a copy of the new licensee’s radioactive material license
to which the equipment will be transferred.
You may need to contact the State of Tennessee for guidance on any conditions that may need to be met in receiving this item.
