Subject: Quail to Cottam Pump Stations Project – Revisions per DEQ Review

Dear Paul:

Per our meeting held on October 31, 2024 to review the plans for the Quail to Cottam Pump Stations
Project, Bowen Collins has made the following revisions in response to comments received:

1. Comment: Tank drain line cannot discharge into the box as currently shown and needs to
drain to daylight.
a. Response: The drawings have been revised to route the tank drain line to daylight.
See the attached drawings C-02 and C-08.
2. Comment: Tank overflow can use #4 mesh rather than #14 mesh
a. Response: See revisions shown on drawing C-08.
3. Comment: Tank hatch needs 2” shoebox overhang, lockable hatch, at least 4” above tank roof,
and include a gasket.
a. Response: Note has been added to drawings to specify the requirement for a gasket
on the hatch. All other items were already included/addressed in drawings. See
attached drawings GS-04 and GS-06
4. Comment: Pump stations will require a compound gauge on the suction side of pumps that
can measure negative pressure.
a. Response: Note has been added to the drawings. See the attached drawings M-05, M-
06, M-011, and M-012.
