SOURCE INSPECTION
SUMMARY EVALUATION: Huntington maintains its CEMS as required in R307-170 and
40 CFR 60.13.
CURRENT
RECOMMENDATIONS: All deviations appear to be a result of breakdown or process related
problems that do not warrant issuing a violation. Huntington was in
compliance during this reporting period. No further compliance
action is recommended. Huntington’s NSPS monitoring system
meets the performance standards of 40 CFR 60, Appendix B
Performance Specifications. Huntington’s acid rain monitoring
system meets the performance standards of 40 CFR 75 Acid Rain
Performance Specifications. Periods of excess emissions that were
recorded by the CMS in service on each point source during this
reporting period are summarized in the SEDR and described in Pivot
Table 400 “Excess Emissions Review.”
HIGH PRIORITY
VIOLATOR (HPV): No
RECOMMENDATION
FOR NEXT INSPECTION: Check DAS for daily zero and span drift.
Check the QC program to ensure that monitor drift is being tracked
and that the source can identify excessive drift.

The monitor was unavailable during the daily monitor calibration as required by 40 CFR parts 60 and 75.7.67 7.67
A loss/interuption of power or communication to the DCS and/or
monitor resulted in a loss of data. Power/communication was restored
and the monitor was returned to service.

The monitor was unavailable during the daily monitor calibration as
required by 40 CFR parts 60 and 75.7.58 7.58
A loss/interuption of power or communication to the DCS and/or
monitor resulted in a loss of data. Power/communication was restored
and the monitor was returned to service.
0.43 0.43
The monitor exhibited excessive drift. A calibration was initiated and
upon successful completion the monitor was returned to service.
0.18 0.18
The monitor exhibited excessive drift. The optical surfaces were
cleaned and stack sets were performed and the monitor was returned
to service.
0.28 0.28
Opacity monitor was removed from service to repair/replace system
components. Maintenance followed by a calibration.3.18 3.18
The opacity monitor displayed elevated opacity after passing a
calibration due to a loose set screw on the upscale filter motor. The set
screw was tightened and the monitor passed calibration with readings
returned to normal.

A blockage in the calibration gas solonoid valve resulted in failed
calibrations. The valve blockage was cleared and the system was returned to operation after a passing calibration.

A stuck solonoid valve allowed span gas to contaminate the system
durnig the zero portion of the daily calibration resulting in an invalid
calibration failure. The stuck solonoid valve was actuated and the
monitor passed the daily calibration and returned to normal operation.
