Temporary closure requirements:
When a PST system is temporarily closed. the owner/operator must:
• continue operation and maintenance of corrosion protection on tanks, line s, flex connectors, and other metallic system components.
• continue operation and maintenance of release detection OR empty th e PST system to less than I inch ofproducl.
When a PST ystem is temporarily c losed for 3 months or more. the owner/operator must also:
• leave vent lin es open and functioning
• cap and secure all other lin es, pumps, manway . and anci ll ary equipment
• send a properly-completed Temporary Closure Notice form to th e DERR/PST Section.
