HomeMy WebLinkAboutDERR-2024-011008VCP/Brownfields Section - Site Visit Report SITE NAME: Sommers Auto Wrecking SITE LOCATION: 647 WEST 3300 SOUTH, South Salt Lake, Utah DATE OF SITE VISIT: 20, August, 2024 PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: DERR (Lincoln Grevengoed) visited to observe ongoing remedial work and to confirm that dewatering was taking place. FIELD OBSERVATIONS: When the DERR arrived at the Site work had been halted due to both an apparent irrigation and power line break. Before this incident, work had been completed at Exc-4 and had moved on to Exc-2. The Exc-2 pit had filled with water, presumably due to the irrigation line break. An additional Baker tank had been brought onto the site and one of the tanks was visibly leaking water from the gaskets. The onsite environmental contractor was working on solutions to the leaking. -SPLIT SAMPLES COLLECTED: No Photos Photo #1 Looking South: The Exc-4 pit area after the initial excavation.
